This class is specifically for those who have taken the first pelvic floor workshop. Reinforce what you've already learned and delve deeper into breath and accessing your diaphragm, your deep abdominals that serve as a corset for your spine and organs, and the pelvic floor itself. This is a gentle, partially seated (or on the floor for those who can) workout. Bring a towel or yoga mat, a pillow or yoga block, and an interest and willingness to move slowly and deliberately. Women only

PELVIC FLOOR WORKOUT: DON’T SUFFER IN SILENCE

Many factors can weaken pelvic floor muscles, including pregnancy, childbirth, surgery, aging and being overweight. If these muscles weaken, you may lose bladder control when you sneeze. If they are too tight, you may have lower back, pelvic, or hip pain. Join us for an intimate conversation on a private matter in a safe, encouraging environment. Learn simple exercises to strengthen your pelvic floor that include variations of Kegels and reverse Kegels, as well as other complementary exercises. Wear loose-fitting clothing.
